Infinity Song is a Talented Family Affair

I’m always on the lookout for new music. Well, let me amend that. I’m always on the lookout for GOOD music. Guys. I’ve found it, and it’s a family affair with the group Infinity Song (!!!) They’re a band of five siblings who went from playing music for spare change in Central Park and the subway in New York to being signed to Roc Nation by Jay-Z and collaborating with the likes of Travis Scott, Kanye West, Tori Kelly and Jon Batiste.

They’ve got a new EP out NOW entitled “Mad Love,” and it’s a beautiful synthesis of so much — shades of Marvin Gaye, Late Registration-era Kanye, even Maggie Rogers.

Listen to the the EP’s anthemic “Everything Is Gonna Be Alright,” with its sumptuous string arrangements and sentiment of reassurance and hope: https://youtu.be/duvIkBoixkE

And last month, the sibs laid down a memorable performance of Earth, Wind & Fire’s immortal “September,” presenting a lithe, energetic arrangement that emphasizes their remarkable vocal prowess. It’s a classic family singalong elevated to unseen levels. Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=617117408964700
