Back when New Edition was on the edge of transformation, they didn’t stop working. Nope, Ronnie, Mike, Ralph and Ricky were still hustling and creating dope music. From their appearance on the “King Holiday” track to the creation of a cover song album to this, being included on the Dragnet soundtrack… them boys were making a way. And out of that collaboration with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis came one of my favorite songs from them. Today, as part of the 28 Days of Love project, it’s New Edition with “Helplessly in Love.” Yup.
